| About | I am an X-Men junkie. I have been reading the comics (I prefer the term \'graphic novels\' since about 1976. I collect the X-Men titles as well as other Marvel comics. Rogue has always been and always will be my favorite character. I love Gambit. I really used to want him and Rogue to have a happier relationship, but then he really started to piss me off. Rogue is such a strong person, except when it comes to Gambit. I was so thrilled when she left his butt in Antarctica to die after The Trial. Served him right! 'Bout time she grew a backbone where he was concerned. She forgave him far too quickly in my book. My favorite pairing is Logan/Rogue. Long before the movie - in UXM #236, published in 1988- I thought they should hook up. Not sure why this got me thinking that but it did. Maybe because Wolverine and Rogue were both transported to Genosha completely naked and hey, it just worked for me. This was a really good story line too. There was also an issue (can't remember which one and I'm not digging through all my comics to find it) where Wolverine kissed Rogue to heal her. He didn't have to do it that way, which Rogue pointed out, but he didn't care. Wolvie just does what Wolvie wants to do. Okay, I'll stop blathering about my X-Men obsession now. One last thing though, for those of you who are not reading the comics, I highly recommend the Astonishing X-Men series by Joss Whedon. It is a great story line. |
