Before the war
It is 2346 A.D. and the world as we know it is coming to an end. I write this hoping that someone out there will find it. That person will learn the horrific story.
It started Sunday, June 7th, 2346. The terrorist organization known only as The Aces has completed the construction of a E-Bomb. Not an A-bomb, an E-Bomb. A weapon that tears out the fabric of the universe and rips down until there is nothing left. E for End, as in END OF THE WORLD! And now the enemy has it. The Aces released the information today on the news. The U.S. Government is in turmoil and the President has declared Defcon 1, World War III. I, in the meantime have been ordered to evacuate my New York City apartment next to the Freedom Tower because of the potential target the World Trade Center poises.
Monday, June 8th, 2346, the government sent a negotiator to the Middle East to try to make contact and negotiate with the terrorists. He went missing as soon as he got off the plane.
Tuesday, June 9th, 2346, they found the man, dead, with a note stuck to him with one word on it written in the man’s blood. Apocalypse. An hour after the body was found the first E-Bomb was launched. And I’m guessing the Dodgers’ game is cancelled. How do we know that, that wasn’t the last E-Bomb? Because I guess the Giants aren’t playing either.
Wednesday, June 10th, 2346, the U.S. Government still is powerless to do anything, they can’t launch our missiles and the Aces don’t have a problem launching theirs. There goes Chicago. You know, I wonder what a E-Bomb leaves. Maybe, there’s just a big blob of nothing, everything is wiped off the face of the Earth.
Thursday, June 11th, 2346 , We’ve finally sent troops in to the terrorist country, U.I.E.S., I really hope this works. Oh yeah, they found some of the survivors of the Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco attacks. We must win!
Friday, June 12th, 2346
It’s over. Another E-bomb was launched, this one is bigger than any other one ever launched. It will end life as we know it. We tried to stop them, but they wouldn’t listen. I can see the missile streaking through the air. This is my final entry. Good luck to whomever finds this. You are the remnants of mankind. Goodbye
The journal ends with blood spattered across the page.
